Placenta Interlude
Hey, y’all - I’m in Atlanta for a family trip until tomorrow, so I apologize for the lack of posts. In the meantime, I figured I’d put up this horrific image of Kendra’s placenta.
It’s gotten to the point where I need to find my zen place when I look through submissions — particularly those of the “placenta variety.” I’m guessing readers might feel the same way, so let’s all stare at this Buddha and go there together. Go to that safe place, where no one photographs their placenta and puts the pictures on Facebook. The place where no one grinds up their nutrient sac into a smoothie or rolls it into sushi. Or eats it raw out of a bowl. I know it’s hard, but if you close your eyes it’s almost possible. Then again, this picture was posted back in 2008 and the submitter still hasn’t gotten over it.
