Show of hands, ladies! Who wishes their mom had sent a virtual newsletter to everyone she knows after hearing about your first period? All of you? Oh wait, NONE of you! OK, I’m glad we can all agree that this mom took her daughter’s rite of passage and exploited it on facebook for her own social purposes.
I’m picturing all of Elisa’s mom’s friends coming over with adorable baskets full of tampons and chocolate and giving her a little wink, and Elisa wondering how they ALL seem to know. ‘Alexis the Turkey’ may have told the neighborhood, but Elisa’s mom told EVERYONE else. Just in time for Mother’s Day!
