I like this submission because it’s like an extension of this post. Different people, same gripe. Except in this instance, there’s a lone dissenter in the crowd. Brava, Gayle! You deserve a high five for speaking up against the Mom Masses, especially on this controversial topic.
Seriously, WTF are these women talking about? From the time I was a child I’ve understood that Disabled Parking Spaces = FOR THE DISABLED. Never have I questioned their purpose, even hypothetically, even when all I need to get is like THREE freaking things from the store and there are at least 4 or 5 empty handicapped spaces in a row just sitting there. You know why? Because those spaces serve an important purpose, and it’s not my place to question that purpose (nor would I want to).
WHO CARES if someone parked in the stupid “Mother and Child” spaces?? Park farther away, where you don’t have to worry about being sandwiched between two huge automobiles, and STFU! I’ve heard the arguments for Expectant Mother Parking, and I suppose I “get” them. But I don’t get being afforded a special space just for having a kid with you who’s 12 or younger. And I definitely can’t wrap my brain around Denise’s not knowing the difference between “legal” and “illegal” parking spaces. What do they put on the driving test in Perth?! Oh and Clair, no one chases you down to pay parking tickets. You either pay them, or your car gets impounded one day when you least expect it. I’m wishing the latter on you. ALL OF YOU. Mwahaha!
