Also, I did a little Google searching about this whole placenta-burial tradition, and it’s totally creeping me out. One woman’s blog surveyed readers about their planting suggestions and um, wow. Here’s a choice comment:
“hlopez206 said… Hi, we just planted a fig tree in a gorgeous pot for our daughter on the eve of her first birthday. Boy, it sure gets pretty funky smelling and draws flies…any advice or is that just the nature of planting the placenta? I can’t wait til it bears fruit.”
