It’s *FINALLY* hot here in Brooklyn, which got me thinking about all things related to summer. Long days, warm nights and, of course, the potential for some great MommyJackings:

Don’t you hate it when you forget that you were DYYYIINNNGGG for some middle of summer grilled corn on the cobb slathered in butter just because of your 3 freaking kids? Hate that!! Sometimes all you want in life are some fresh summertime vegetables, amirite? 

Unless of course you’re Samantha, at which point indulging in the delights of garden vegetables is hardly at the top of your list of desires. How in the hell can eating vegetables compare with looking at new pictures of a darling little girl? It can’t!!! 

Except, I guess I’m not giving Samantha enough credit. For all I know she’s just posted a whole mess of pictures of little Mia holding giant recipe cards and canning tomatoes. Maybe Mia has a food blog? Maybe she’s passionate about local food and canning and developing recipes is her happy place? It’s possible! But somehow I kind of doubt it.
