Mother’s Day Year ‘11
Before I continue on with the rest of the Mother’s Day posts, I wanted to respond to Rachael’s update.
Rachael, it’s not called Mother’s YEAR because that would kind of take away from the DAY. When you do something year-round, it’s not a celebration. It’s just life. The point of Mother’s DAY is to say thank you to mothers for what mothers do all year. See what I’m saying? It’s an acknowledgement. It’s something to be happy about. Don’t turn Mother’s Day into a martyr-fest or an opportunity to make a bad joke. Just be grateful. It’s easy.
