Much like Scrabble Heather, Joanie here just set herself up. I’m thinking Joanie’s neighbors don’t particularly like to hear her baby crying at all hours of the night any more than she enjoys hearing the workmen upstairs while her baby naps.
In her defense, Joanie did say the workmen are unknowing, suggesting she understands they aren’t intentionally disrupting her baby’s naptime. Of course, they wouldn’t care if they did know her kid was napping, but at least Joanie cuts the workmen a little slack. Unlike Frank, who thinks it’s a good idea to dangle a crying baby in front of a construction crew on a job. Come on, Frank - “crys”? Really? Please tell me that was a typo.
