I Stand With Planned Parenthood: Just Sayin’ Edition
I typically don’t get on a high horse about controversial topics like women’s rights and abortion on this blog because a) there’s nothing funny about abortion, and b) I’m well-aware that many of this site’s readers do not share the same views on those topics. That being said, I’m posting this submission today to remind everyone that people like Rachel are completely missing the point.
Planned Parenthood needs the federal funding that certain politicians are trying to block, and in my opinion it’s every woman’s person’s obligation to speak up about it. So today, I’m trying to do my part. To stand up with Planned Parenthood is simply to say, “I believe that women deserve to receive reproductive health care, and I believe in the power of sex education.”
I refuse to allow people like Rachel to drown out common sense on this debate, and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make my voice heard. Even if it means FeministJacking my own blog.
Just sayin’.
**If you’re in the NYC area, please join the rally in Foley Square at 1PM on Saturday, February 26th to Stand Up for Women’s Health!!!**
