I’ve seen this type of thing a few times. Certain parents will ask people to alter something that will benefit the parent in question and not the other person, and do so with a straight face. Baffling, yet incredibly amusing.
Except, Janet here is actually asking a public access TV station - who’s providing a FREE event at the library - to add a morning screening for her. Um, Janet? Most people tend to go out in the evening, after this thing called work, and socialize with adults in adult settings. Plus, why would anyone bring their kids to a screening of a Jane Austen adaptation? Heidi, it’s not Mom’s Gold Star day, but your comment is totally worthy of one. God invented babysitters for a reason.
