Naming is Half the Battle

I get a lot of submissions about annoying chain status updates that people post. Every week there seems to be a new one: Mothers Week! Sisters Week! Daughters Week! Repost this if you love your relatives! Otherwise no one will know or believe you! It is truly a nonstop flood of semi-sincere, mostly empty statements about “thoughtfulness”… or something. Which is why I never post them. Good GOD they’re boring.

Today’s chain submission is the first exception to this rule, and I think it’s clear to see why. Kate kinda cares about cancer patients - I mean, she totally does, who doesn’t?! - but, more importantly, she wants her friends to know that YAYAYAY she and her husband may have decided on a name for their unborn baby!! It’s her way of saying, “To all of my friends whose lives have been touched by cancer, I stand with you in full support. To everyone else, my baby’s gonna have a bangin’ name, whut whut!” It’s like she MommyJacked her own status update. I’m impressed.
