Mom’s Gold Star

Before I put up the End-Of-Year Listicle detailing all of the precious memories we’ve made this past year (who could forget this?!), I wanted to post one last Mom’s Gold Star of 2011. It is a beloved category, after all, and so uplifting! It’s didn’t feel right to launch into the listicle right after the snot ‘splosion, plus Mom’s Gold Star ties into this week’s Mommyish column where I present my Top 5 Overshare Tips for 2012. (#5 being “Always Maintain a Sense of Humor”) The example I give over there is just as good as the one here today, except there are no reticulated pythons involved.

Speaking of which, I do love this submission. It’s a lot like the Nicholas Cage Gold Star, but it also happens to remind me of this excellent Gold Star post from earlier this year which wraps things up nicely. Congrats to Jason for winning this extremely prestigious award, and I’ll be back with the year-in-review in a bit. In the meantime, check out my final column of the year over at Mommyish!
