Christmas ‘11
Jenn’s comment takes a nosedive right around the “best gift anyone could give” part. After that it’s just a jumble of fractured thoughts that make no sense. Except really her whole comment makes no sense because Jenn’s baby was born in September, and STAR 102.5 “Today’s Best Variety” wants to know what everyone’s best gift was this holiday season. Not their best gift from around Labor Day. That’s like someone saying, “My car! I leased a car back in June and boy is she a beaut!” or, “My puppy! Well, he’s not a puppy anymore because he’s four now, but he is so furry and our family has been complete since the day we adopted him!”
I could understand if Jenn said something like, “Being with my family is gift enough,” but instead she said, “My baby boy born in September mumbo jumbo girls love him sooso much” with nary an exclamation point or period in sight. If you mommyjack the wall of a Top 40 radio station, at least have the decency to use punctuation and/or communicate your emotions via Billy Joel lyrics. It’s common courtesy.
