Let’s recap that real quick: Alicia’s baby’s room was outfitted with approximately FIVE security systems before she and her husband found one they’re happy with. And everyone thinks that’s totally normal. Interesting. I didn’t realize that using those walkie-talkie monitors was “old school” and out-dated. Am I a clueless non-parent or is Alicia’s screen test just a wee bit over the top?
There’s a point when basic concern for your sleeping baby verges on fear-driven paranoia. I can’t say that I’m an expert on the subject, but it would seem that Alicia’s obsession with getting a ‘clear picture’ trails into the crazytown side of things. Or maybe it’s just that I’ve never felt the urge to spy on anyone with a device that has “three-camera capability” and night vision.
I guess my question is, when does it become appropriate to turn OFF the cameras? And why does anyone really need a camera - or three - in the first place? Upon researching Alicia’s winning baby monitor brand, I’ve learned that Lorex’s motto is, “With security come peace of mind, and one way to get that peace of mind, is to monitor your home with a video surveillance system.” Hm..OK. Good luck to that kid when he gets older.
