Holiday Countdown: Day 2
This is the STFUP submission version of a sneak attack. I was reading Lindsey’s update going, “Yeah yeah yeah, we all know how loud the fire trucks are. The horns scare your kid around Christmas just like the fireworks scare him on the Fourth of July. Blah blah blah!!!” when suddenly, BAM! Lindsey takes it in the opposite direction by complaining that the Fire Truck Parade didn’t come to her neighborhood, thereby crushing a child’s spirit. Way to pull a fast one on ole B., Lindsey!
Except, now that I think about it, why didn’t she just take a walk or a short drive with her son over to where the parade was? I mean, if she could hear it nearby, wouldn’t that have been a good solution? Personally, I live about a block away from where the runners go by during the New York City Marathon, but you’ll never see me on Twitter complaining that they didn’t run right past my window even though my boyfriend loves marathons and we can hear it all happening down the street. Instead, we put on our jackets and walk over to the action. I find that waiting for a parade to come to you usually doesn’t work in one’s favor.
