Every 6 months or so, we all participate in the archaic act of resetting our clocks for some such farming business. And every time we do that, the parents of the world get on Facebook to complain. I do understand it; this isn’t one of those times where I’m harshly judging the Woe Is Mom quotient. Rather, I feel like a documentarian of sorts. The pattern is undeniable, and because it continues to happen over and over again, all I can do is laugh and share the submissions I receive with you guys.
This submitter had back-to-back updates about the same thing, made by two women who are in the same circle. It’s almost like a club!
Nice try, Teresa, BUT “modern DST was first proposed by the New Zealand entomologist George Vernon Hudson.” I think Ben Franklin would have appreciated your attempt at lite historic humor, though, so that’s saying something.
OK. Here is an actual problem I have. I know this is going to come off as nitpicky, but there are a few things I’d be totally cool with never hearing parents/moms say again, and “It’s a good thing s/he’s cute!” is near the top of the list. It’s up there with “I think we’ll keep him/her ;),” and, "Ah, the joys of motherhood!" If you’re already posting about something that every other parent is posting about (like the standard time change), please don’t cap it off with an expression like this. It puts me right to sleep.
